Internet innovations soar

The previous twelve months have seen the most radical change for web design Manchester. Web design companies across the UK, and indeed globally have access to some of the greatest tools that have ever existed and towards the end of 2013 many websites belonging to large companies in the public eye went through complete transformations. Warren Phillips Web Design asks: What have the biggest changes been throughout over the last 12 months?

Going Mobile

Web designers have been extremely busy with creating responsive sites for companies and businesses and now almost every large business will have a mobile app. An essential feature for this has been fluid design which is what makes the complete design of a website adjust and transform to fit an iPad, iPhone or other mobile device. A mobile app is now pretty much vital and there are many ways in which web designers can use new technology to continually improve this device, such as applying functions which will aid communication like; email subscriptions and easy to share buttons for social media websites.

Simplicity

Web design has limited the amount of technology used for websites, and opted quality over quantity. They have done this in a variety of ways but the first thing you will notice when looking at a newly created website today as oppose to one created a couple of years previously, is the lack of colour. Web designers are option for a one to two colour usage for a more sophisticated look and to make the information on site easier to read without your eyes being tempted by bright colours, or flashing images, animations and so on. The most popular colours to be used are darks such as reds and blacks as it has been proven a minimalistic colour tone will make the consumer much more focused on the actual content of a site.

Social Media Integration

Social media: sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest are used by billions of users each day, across the world. They are a very big part of many people’s lives and easy way for communication. Web designers understand this and so it is highly unlikely that by the end of this year you will see a single website without easy links to social media.

The Internet has transformed dramatically to how it first was in the 1980’s and even 1990’s and the first web pages would now be unrecognizable to many of today’s Internet users. Web designers have had an immense part of this and will continue to do so as long as the Internet stays an ever-present part of our lives.
